This is our Make & Fix Show & Tell thread - We'd love to see photos or videos of what you've made or fixed this week, along with tips or tutorials to guide the rest of us in this important step.
Just working on some of my older clothes that have some worn spots. Added the tan fabric and then embroidery to keep it in place. We'll see how it lasts with my hands reaching in my pockets all the time. Live and learn!
I have been using my fabric scraps to make purses and have been giving them away on Facebook. I also made potholders for friends, and today I started on face masks for family and friends.
My backpack was getting worn in the bottom. And I use it everyday (and should probably wash it more often.) So I took some jeans that had too many holes to fix and use them to reinforce the bottom and still working on the top seam too. I'm not talented in sewing but I can hand stitch enough to keep things together. I just folded a bit over and stitched that together on the jeans first and then sewed to the bag.
Somehow I missed this. How do you make those bouquets, @Alexa Carey? Can you provide a tutorial? We're thinking of creating a video tutorials thread where people can share their how-tos. Would absolutely LOVE to learn how to do this. Have some old maps from the car that I no longer need that would add some color.
I collect old books with the binding falling apart from the discard bin at the library as well as beer bottles from the recycling bins to make bouquets. They make lovely gifts!

I think the colors go really well together. Might even look better than it did before. Ha! Great fix.
